Programmes

 

ASTeC programmes continue to evolve but some major themes, listed here, have been long standing ones.  In parallel there is support for specific projects, often commissioned by STFC or other bodies, and for underpinning but more generic R&D activities.

Most  ASTeC programmes involve collaborations, both with other STFC Departments and external partners (universities, international groups, industry, ..).   Funding is obtained both from core direct vote STFC budgets and from additional grants, including externally from EU and commercial sources.

New programme proposals on any accelerator and particle beam topics are always welcome, especially where beneficial and challenging to the ASTeC skill base.
