Introduction

Welcome to the Home Page of the Vacuum Science Group part of STFC's Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC).

ASTeC was formed in 2001 and is a centre of excellence in the field of Accelerator Science and Technology carrying out a program of research and design in support of CCLRC's activities.

Vacuum Science is a core activity of ASTeC: the group has a fully equipped Vacuum Science Laboratory concerned with vacuum metrology, materials properties, equipment development and novel pumping technologies.
